Brighton is our Community Engagement Student of the Year!
Brighton, 14, of Fitchburg, MA, joined us to reflect on his experience playing violin and clarinet in our community engagement programs at Memorial Middle School and in classes here at Groton Hill.
Special thanks to Brighton’s teachers and family who have supported him throughout his musical journey!
The Community Engagement Student of the Year Award highlights a student who has seen extraordinary growth since the beginning of the year and is an outstanding role model to their classmates.
“Brighton has spread the word about the string program around the school, came during his free time to play with other grades, and wrote a composition that the entire middle school played for the concert,” said Laura Altenor, Groton Hill Community Engagement and Summer Programs Manager. “He continues to go above and beyond for his peers!”
