Give from your ira

Gifts from your IRA are tax-free!

If you are 70 ½ or older, you can make direct transfers to Groton Hill Music from an Individual Retirement account (IRA) without incurring income tax. This is commonly called a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).

If you are 73 or older, you can use a QCD to satisfy all or part of your annual IRA Required Minimum Distribution (RMD).

Why consider QCD?

  • See your gift in action through robust music education programs, free concerts, scholarships, free public school programs, and more
  • Pay no income taxes on your gift and reduce your gross income
  • Fulfill your RMD obligation

How to Donate:

  • Notify your IRA administrator and have them include your name and address on the donation
  • Let us know your IRA gift is coming
