One of the great recital partnerships of our time, violinist Gil Shaham and pianist Akira Eguchi bring musical intelligence and irresistible chemistry to every performance. Trusting each other to go where the music takes them, Shaham and Eguchi make music with sweep, drive, and inner life.
In a balance honed over decades, this duo comes together with elegance and precision. Shaham's characteristically warm playing glows with passion. Eguchi—lyrical and propulsive by turn—brings a virtuosic sense of momentum and energy that draws you ever more deeply into the music.
Acclaimed on stages around the world, Shaham and Eguchi make extraordinary technical mastery appear effortless. Together, they transform each performance into something that feels less like a display and more like a shared offering.
This performance is currently on sale as part of a Vivo subscription package. Individual tickets will be available from the Vivo Box Office starting October 1.
