Faculty Feature: Jennifer Perkins

Our Youth Orchestra Ensembles at Groton Hill give students the opportunity to come together and rehearse in our world-class practice and performance spaces! In Camerata Strings and Chamber Strings, students learn how to be a valuable ensemble member and further develop their skills as young musicians. In this video, Youth Orchestras Director of both Camerata Strings and Chamber Strings, Jennifer Perkins, sat down with us to talk about her approach as an educator, what’s special about Groton Hill, and how young musicians learn and grow in ensembles.

“What’s special about being here at Groton Hill is that this is a new music building, combining modern aesthetics, modern technology, and things we’ve figured out as musicians work really well for us,” says Perkins.
