Bio

Abe Finch has appeared with the Boston Lyric Opera, Royal Ballet, Boston Landmarks Orchestra, Dinosaur Annex, Pro Arte Chamber Ensemble, New England Percussion Ensemble, Boston Brass Ensemble, Hillyer Festival Orchestra, Cambridge Revels, Duxbury Music Festival, and many more classical, jazz, and theater organizations. A founding member of Wired.to.the.Edge, a contemporary, avant-garde, acoustic-electric trio, he also composes works for percussion, from thematic pieces for children to advanced percussion ensemble repertoire.

Abe teaches both classical and contemporary percussion styles to students of all ages. Many of his students have excelled through District and All-State Festival competitions and into college, several earning degrees at major musical conservatories. In addition to Indian Hill, Abe serves on the faculties at Salem State University, Groton School, and Philips Academy in Andover.
