Bio
Christian Gutierrez is an active horn performer and dedicated educator who has built his career around a love of performing, teaching, and sharing music with young musicians. He has performed with the Boston Pops Orchestra, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Maine State Ballet, Wilmington Symphony, Boston Chamber Symphony, Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra, and Opera Wilmington, among others. Christian has served as Adjunct Instructor of Horn at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, a Teaching Artist with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, and a Horn Workshop Teaching Assistant at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. As a teacher, he enjoys helping students find their individual voice on the horn while developing the strong fundamentals and healthy playing habits that allow them to grow with confidence. His approach combines the discipline of professional performance with an encouraging and supportive environment in which students can develop both as musicians and as individuals.
