Teaching Philosophy

I teach not only the instrument but relevant theory so that students can better understand the structure of the music and be able to phrase more musically. Knowing that most students will not choose music as a career, my hope is that they will continue to find recreational joy in their instruments and have an appreciation of fine music.

Education

B.M. Ed., University of Lowell; M.M., New England Conservatory. Principal teachers: Ralph Gomberg, John Holmes and Laurence Thorstenberg
