Meet Our Faculty

Jennifer Perkins

Director, Camerata Strings & Chamber Strings (Youth Ensembles)

Teaching Philosophy

I believe that musicians should explore all styles and genres of music that interest them, and should surround themselves with people who will support them on that journey. We should never be afraid to make mistakes while learning or trying something new, and never be so hard on yourself that you can’t enjoy what you’re doing.

Education

B.M. in Music Education, State University of New York (SUNY) College at Fredonia; M.M. in Music Education, Kent State University
