Kendall began playing harp at age fifteen, studying with Gaye LeBlanc (Oklahoma City Philharmonic) first as a private high school student, and eventually as a student of Ms.LeBlanc’s at the University of Oklahoma. While working toward her Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance, Kendall performed with orchestras in and around Oklahoma, as second harpist with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and principal harpist with the Ft. Smith Arkansas Symphony. Following graduation and a cross-country move to New Hampshire, Kendall taught private music lessons for 15 years, while putting other teaching and performance opportunities on pause in order to devote more time to raising her six children. She currently enjoys a busy teaching and performance schedule, playing with various orchestras and ensembles throughout the area, such as the Merrimack Valley Philharmonic, the Nashua Chamber Orchestra, and the Kearsarge Chorale. In addition to her position on the faculty at Groton Hill, Kendall is a music instructor at the Manchester Community Music School, where she instructs both lever and pedal harp students.
