Lisa Kempskie enjoys a varied music career on violin and viola, from orchestral, chamber and early music ensembles to musical theater. For her entire career, teaching has been at the core. For 7 years, she was the elementary and middle school string director in the Winchester Public Schools and is currently on the faculty of the Westford Suzuki School as well as maintaining a home studio. She is a Certified Music Practitioner through the Music for Healing and Transition Program, trained in playing healing music for chronic and terminal patients, having worked at some regional facilities. She also was a student and teaching assistant at the Violin Craftsmanship Institute at UNH in bow making, repair and rehair and spends much of her time servicing the bows of local players.
