Michelle Tucker is a Boston-based percussionist and music educator. As a performer, Michelle has found several comfortable niches in Boston’s music world, freelancing in regional theaters, jazz clubs, and orchestras. Michelle founded The Luna Collective in 2015, to play a weekly residency at Lowell’s Luna Theater. The Luna Collective now has a mission of preserving and performing the music of Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers. Michelle has been an auxiliary member of The Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra since 2014. Other notable gigs include performances with The Portland Bach Experience; The Du Bois Orchestra; Tuck Everlasting with The Umbrella Stage Co.; and sub work with both New Repertory Theater and SpeakEasy Stage Co.

Between 2003 and 2018 Michelle completed four full tours of the U.S.; one European tour; and dozens of trips up and down the East Coast.
