Many of our students get to learn directly from professional touring artists, who workshop real-world artistic skills and often invite students on stage during their own Groton Hill concerts. Groton Hill students get the opportunity to rehearse and perform with professional touring artists, often supporting world premiere versions of songs and playing for a packed house.
This kind of exposure not only gives young musicians the confidence to keep exploring their instrument, but introduces them to artists who care about passing on the teachings that got them to where they are now.
We give artists the space to host interactive discussions just before some shows, where concert patrons can ask questions and get insight into the musician’s creative process.
Sometimes, bluegrass musicians like the Jacob Jolliff Band (pictured) even host jam sessions and invite patrons to join them on stage before doors open.
We’re lucky enough to host artists whose music is pushing boundaries and impacting communities, and, when we can, we’ll invite them on stage before a performance for a brief interview about their work, like when Brandee Younger (pictured) joined Director of Programs Pete Robbins before her Juneteenth community concert.
We offer a wide range of musical experiences, focused on mentorship, development, and creativity. Over 2,000 students enjoy private lessons, classes, rehearsals, and performances in our inspirational setting, with unique opportunities that bring education and performance together in ways that are uniquely possible at Groton Hill.
Our dynamic learning spaces encourage you to enjoy the process, with 35 state-of-the-art teaching studios, and 2 world-class performance halls, acoustically tuned for a warm, vibrant sound.
