Christina Kennedy

Director, New Horizons Chorus

Christina Kennedy is a conductor, violinist, and teacher whose career has spanned community stages, private music studios, church sanctuaries, elementary classrooms, middle and high school choir rooms, and college recital halls. She holds graduate degrees in violin performance and choral conducting and has directed school, church, community, and auditioned choirs while maintaining an active independent studio teaching piano, violin, and voice.

Christina directs the New Horizons Chorus at Groton Hill, where she helps adult singers discover the joy of lifelong music-making. She is also the founder and artistic director of the Artemis Circle Choral Project, an auditioned adult treble choir whose performances benefit local nonprofit organizations, and serves as assistant music director of the Sounds of Stow Chorus & Orchestra and North Parish in North Andover, Massachusetts.

Inspired by her work with singers of all ages, Christina has developed a particular interest in vocal health, and, as a McClosky Certified Voice Technician, she enjoys helping singers develop their natural voices, characterized by freedom, ease, and expression. She believes music is far more than producing sound from notes on a page—it is a way to connect with history, strengthen communities, and build relationships across generations and cultures.
