Our spectacular Flute Orchestra continues its ruby-silver anniversary season with a holiday concert!

It’s a season of anniversaries as the ensemble marks its 40th year and Dr. Eileen Yarrison celebrates her 25th year as artistic director and conductor. The group is comprised of semi-professional and professional flutists who perform at Groton Hill and throughout the community.

The program opens with a Christmas Overture arranged by Bill Holcombe; and includes excerpts from The Nutcracker; Z. Randall Stroope’s There Is No Rose; a lively, off-beat setting of Deck the Halls; Peter Senchuk’s Kinda Blue Xmas; and other songs of the season. Our Guest Artist is tubist Joe Wright, who will join the group for Helicon Scottische by J.H. Woods. Come for the novelty, stay for the music!. This is a family-friendly concert.
