Senior District Mock Auditions

Saturday, 10/28 from 2 – 6pm

Will you be taking Junior or Senior District Auditions in strings, winds, brass, percussion, jazz, or voice? Rehearse your repertoire and receive valuable feedback from the Groton Hill Music School faculty. Advance registration required! Only open to Groton Hill Music School students at this time. Friday 12/8 at 8pm in Cambridge MA

Come and see our Wind Ensemble students perform with the MIT Wind Ensemble in their annual fall concert. The program features special lighting and works for full wind ensemble and chamber groups. Get your FREE tickets here!

Groton Hill Youth Choruses: Holiday Concert

Tuesday, 12/19 at 6pm in the Concert Hall

Directors Kathy McMinn and Scott Arnold will lead our singers in songs about winter with a few holiday surprises sprinkled in! Our youngest chorus, Canto, will debut with songs about celebration and a certain jolly man in a red suit. Prelude will delight us as they dance and sing “The Penguin Polka.” Lyrica will share a story about kindness and giving, and Harmonia will sing the music they learned for their recent appearance with the Vista Philharmonic. The choruses will join together to conclude the concert with a special song about peace. TICKETS: $8/adults (free for ages 12 and under)

New Horizons Concert Band: Winter Concert

See this thriving community of woodwind, brass, and percussion players come together for their upcoming concert in January! The band is led by our experienced concert band conductor, Andrea Mejia.
This concert is free and open to all!

Groton Hill Youth Orchestras: Winter Concert

Sunday, 2/4 at 2pm in the Concert Hall

See our Sinfonia Concert Orchestra, led by Director Ken Culver, and Camerata and Chamber Strings, both led by Director Jennifer Perkins perform in our own world-class concert venue! They will play music by Warlock, Strauss, Kalinnikov, Deussen, and Mussorgsky.
TICKETS: $13 plus fees

The Groton Hill Wind Ensemble, led by Dr. Frederick Harris Jr., presents an exciting evening of classic works including Holst’s First Suite in Eb, Chance’s Variations on a Korean Folk Song, and music by Bach, Vaughn Williams, Alexander Tcherepnin, and others. Serving the towns of Ashby and Townsend, the Hawthorne Brook Middle School Concert Band, directed by Kimberly LaPointe, collaborates with GHWE for combined performances.

Students will perform in solo and ensemble numbers, showcasing a culmination of their 10-week class session! Friends, family, and all are welcome to attend.

Groton Hill Wind Ensemble: Spring Concert

Celebrating the conclusion of its second season, the Groton Hill Wind Ensemble brings together musicians from 16 communities, adding 30 Honors Invitational musicians from across Massachusetts and New Hampshire for this special concert. The program includes brass Renaissance music, chamber music, and classic modern wind ensemble masterpieces.

Groton Hill Flute Orchestra: Season Finale

Sunday, 6/2 at 3pm in the Concert Hall

Travel the world through music, from city centers to mountains and rivers, the Italian countryside, and a Japanese village! Featured composers include Joplin, Gershwin, Higdon, and Mascagni, plus a world premiere by Alexa Letourneau.

New Horizons Concert Band: Open Rehearsal

Under the direction of Andrea Mejia, the New Horizons Concert Band for adults will kick off their 2023/24 season with an open rehearsal (7-8:30pm) for prospective members. Collegium Musicum Baroque Orchestra: Open Rehearsal

Monday, 10/2

Under the direction of Tim Terranella, the Collegium Musicum Baroque Orchestra will kick off their 2023/24 season with an open rehearsal (7-9pm) for prospective members. Specializing in the music of the Baroque and Classical masters, including Bach’s Brandenburg Concerti, the Collegium Music is open to intermediate to advanced teens 16+ and adults who play strings, woodwinds, and harpsichord.
