FAQ
Anyone, ages 5 through adult, who is not currently enrolled in private lessons at Groton Hill Music School may take one free in-person lesson on an age-appropriate instrument of their choice. (Current Groton Hill students enrolled in private lessons, classes, or ensembles may sign up to take one free lesson on a new instrument only, subject to availability.)
Advance reservations are required for this event. Please submit the Free Lesson Day Sign-Up Form by Saturday, January 21. Please contact the office for assistance at info@grotonhill.org or (978) 486-9524 (press 0).
Registered participants will receive an email confirmation with their assigned 30-minute lesson time by Wednesday, January 25. Be sure to check your spam folders, and add “www.grotonhill.org” as a Safe Sender.
We will have instruments available at the event for students who request them on the sign-up form. For those students who request a woodwind or brass instrument, an individual instrument will be provided for each student; all other instruments will be shared. You are also welcome to bring your own instrument.
Space is limited and scheduling is first come, first served. Once the schedule is filled for each instrument, students will be placed on a wait-list and offered an alternate date for a free lesson.
Yes! Our school staff will be on hand throughout the day to answer your questions. You’ll have an opportunity to speak with them after your lesson.
Yes! If you decide to enroll in lessons, our staff will provide details and guide you through the enrollment process. Free Lesson Day participants who register for private lessons by February 6th will be eligible for a special discount. (There is no obligation to enroll after your free lesson.)
Yes, if there is an appropriate opening in that teacher’s schedule. Otherwise, we will match you up with another excellent teacher from our faculty who we think will be the best fit.

We are located at: 122 Old Ayer Road, Groton MA 01450. We offer plenty of free, onsite parking.
