Week-long music programs for all ages and abilities!
All our programs focus on the benefits of artistic exploration, personal attention, and collaboration for musicians looking to grow and prepare for the next steps in their journey.
Some sessions even feature before- and after-care to make scheduling more convenient for families.

Most sessions offer a full week of on-campus coaching and collaboration, culminating in performances on one of our world-class stages.

Youth (6-10)
Summer Arts Mashup
June 19 – 23, 9am – 4pm
Ages 6 – 10
A staycation for the imagination! Combining music, visual arts, dance, and coding for young children, this multidisciplinary approach to fun and learning helps stimulate young minds and builds a foundation for a creative future.
Before- and after-care available!
Summer Music Explorers
4 Summer Sessions! June 26 – 30, July 5 – 7, July 31 – August 4, or August 7 – 11
9am – 3pm
Ages 6 – 9
This lively learning program introduces young people to a variety of instruments, including piano, violin, ukulele, and percussion. Students will choose an instrument to focus on for the week, and enjoy singing and movement to build a solid foundation for musical expression!

Ivories & Bows
August 14 – 18, 9am – 3pm
Ages 8 – 12
Young piano and string students come together in a fun, friendly, and collaborative program that builds toward a final performance. Includes melodica exploration and electives.

Weekly Summer Classes for Young Beginners
We offer a variety of traditional classes during the summer session. These classes meet once per week and offer young beginners the chance to make new friends and learn new skills in a warm, welcoming environment. Register your students for Music For Aardvarks (age 1-4), Drum Buddies (age 4-6), Beginner Piano (age 5-6), or Beginner Piano (age 7-8) today!
Teen (10-18)
Summer Jams
June 26 – 30 or August 7 – 11, 9am – 5pm
Ages 12 – 16
Take the stage! Young rock and pop musicians can choose production or performance focus to learn more about how songs are made and how collaboration works in the studio and on the stage.
Featuring guest sessions with renowned singer/songwriter Mark Erelli.
Broadway Masterclass
July 10 – 14, 9am – 4pm
Ages 12 – 16
Build skills with coaching, solo and ensemble singing, and on-stage character development. Students will leave with a real audition video and the confidence to perform.
Chamber Intensive
July 10 – 14, 9am – 5pm
Ages 13 – 18
A unique chamber music program open to string, wind, and piano students with 4+ years of experience. Together, young musicians will focus on our roles as players, collaborators, and communicators in ensembles.
Featuring a guest session with the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America!
Jazz Intensive
July 17 – 21, 9am – 5pm
Ages 13 – 18
Build confidence and improvisation, collaboration and performance skills in sessions focused on a variety of jazz elements, including rhythm, harmony, active listening, and phrasing.
Featuring guest sessions with Walter Smith III, Director of the Woodwind Department at Berklee College of Music.
Piano Plus
July 17 – 21, 9am – 4pm
Ages 10 – 15
Intermediate piano students will build skills and explore the benefits of collaboration in duos and trios.

Piano Intensive
July 31 – August 4, 9am – 5pm
Ages 13 – 18
An immersive piano program designed to challenge the most motivated students in new and exciting ways with personalized coaching, deep dives into performance skills, and adjudication prep.
Featuring guest sessions with Victor Rosenbaum, former Chair of the Piano Department at New England Conservatory, and Boston Chamber Music Society’s Randall Hodgkinson!
Moana Jr.
August 14 – 25, 9am – 5pm
Ages 9 – 16
A fast-paced musical production building toward in a performance on our majestic Concert Hall stage. Students will work together to put on a polished show in just 2 weeks!

Adult
Summer Night Music
6 Week Session: July 5 – August 10, Wednesdays 6:30pm – 8:30pm
1 Week Session: August 14 – 18, Nightly 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Ages 18+
Adult intermediate to advanced strings, woodwind, piano, harp, and classical guitar students come together to perform chamber music, with a closing performance on the intimate Meadow Hall stage.
19th Annual Summer Metropolitan Flute Festival
June 22 – 25
Ages 18+
An intensive weekend for flute players at the upper intermediate through highly advanced levels with Director Paige Dashner Long.
Need-based scholarships are available for all of our programs. Please complete the scholarship application form before enrolling, and then wait for our award confirmation, which will include instructions on how to enroll.
The Groton Hill campus features 2 world-class stages, 35 classrooms, 2 flexible performance spaces, outdoor seating, and 75 acres of protected farmland. The light-filled architecture encourages interactions between students and the artists who perform on our stages, letting us bring incredible talent into the classroom to give students unique experiences that will inspire them for years to come.
