This unique chamber music program, open to string, wind, and piano students with 4+ years of experience, focuses on students’ roles as players, collaborators, and communicators in ensembles. Students will enjoy expert coaching, performance workshops, deep dives on technical skills, and a workshop with renowned guest artists The Parker Quartet. It’s all leading up to performances on our Meadow Hall stage at the end of the week.
The Chamber Music Intensive is Groton Hill’s advanced chamber program led by our Piano Department Chair, Christina Dietrich and String Department Chair Tim Terrenella along with many of our faculty. For students with 5+ years of experience. An in-person skills assessment will be held on May 4th and May 11th to give our faculty coordinator insight on how to properly place students and plan music for the program.
Performances on 7/19 at 3pm and 6pm in Meadow Hall
In-person skills assessments will be held on Saturday, May 4th and May 11th from 3pm-5pm. Once registration is complete, a link to book your time slot will be sent via email. These assessments will not be intimidating like a formal audition, instead, they give our faculty coordinator insight on how to properly place students and plan music for the program.
Students who are not available on May 4th or 11th should reach out to Laura Altenor at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a separate assessment day and time.
