Along with instrument exploration, students join in choral singing and movement sessions, group drumming, and outdoor fun. Family and friends will be treated to a showcase performance at the end of each week!
If they’re curious about a different instrument after week one, encourage them to try it in our second Explorers session the very next week!
No experience necessary. Students must be 6 years old by January 1, 2026.
Enrollees will choose 1st and 2nd instrument options and will be placed in instrument groups based on availability and demand.

Youth chorus instructor Scott Arnold is an Elementary Music Teacher in Northborough, MA, with a passion for nurturing the love of music in his students. He also directs the music at Trinity Church in Northborough, and is a seasoned pianist with over 25 years of experience. He says that creating and sharing music is what brings him joy. Originally from Arkansas, Scott made the leap to Massachusetts in 2020 with his husband Ben and their two adorable dogs, Will and Grace. He directs our choruses for ages 4 and 5: Canto and Prelude.
“Through the use of music, I always strive to engage my students in activities that require them to use creativity, teamwork, flexibility, and respect. We explore the uses of emotions the various songs or types of music brings them and I help them learn to articulate what they feel and why.”

Upon registering, you’ll select one instrument for your child to explore for the week. Including focused sessions on their chosen instrument, students will participate in a daily “Instrument Discovery” session, where faculty will conduct demonstrations of all instruments offered in the program (piano, violin, percussion, ukulele).

Before- and after-care is available for this program!
Before-care is available starting at 8:00am and costs $15 per day. Students arriving before check-in time (8:45) must be signed up for Before-care.
After-care is available until 5:00pm, and costs $30 per day. All students remaining more than 15 minutes after dismissal must be registered, and students not picked up by 5:00pm will be charged an additional $10 for every 15 minutes.
Lunch and snacks are NOT provided. Students must bring enough food for 2 snack breaks and lunch. We will provide a nut-free lunch table for students with allergies.
