Summer Night Music
August 5 – 9
Monday – Friday, 6:00-8:30pm
Register by 6/28
Make beautiful chamber music with new friends in a relaxed and low-stress setting! Our outstanding faculty coaches will guide you carefully through technical and musical challenges, individually and as a member of a group. Chamber ensemble placements will be based on your skill level and instrument. Repertoire can range from a single challenging piece, to multiple movements of a larger work, or multiple pieces by several composers. Each session ends with a public performance on our beautiful Meadow Hall stage! Open to intermediate and advanced level strings, woodwinds, piano, harp, and classical guitar.
A performance skills video will be required upon registration. See FAQ below for more info on how to make and submit your video.
Live Performance Friday 8/9 at 7:00pm
We use a Performance Skills Assessment (PSA) video to give faculty insight into your comfort and skill with your instrument, which helps us place students in certain pieces planned for the program. PSA videos are easy to make, and not something to fret over. Cell-phone recordings are fine, and are easy to upload to YouTube. When uploading your assessment, please select either Public or Unlisted when choosing your “Visibility.” Copy the video URL link and paste it at the bottom of the form where directed. If you are creating your video after submitting the application form, email your video link to the Summer Programs Manager, Laura Altenor – firstname.lastname@example.org.
