Groton Hill Music School student Brienna Duteau, age 15, is a multi-instrumentalist, playing flute, piano, cello, and guitar, and piccolo in our Regional Wind Ensemble! She sat down to talk about the ensemble’s December trip to play with the MIT Wind Ensemble, what she loves about ensemble music, and the benefits of the holistic musical approach taken by Dr. Fred Harris, who directs both ensembles. The MIT trip and concert was a fantastic opportunity for our youth musicians to learn from, and play with, advanced college level players.
