SPOTLIGHT: Songwriting for Adults

Learning to write songs as an adult can be a fulfilling and rewarding experience. It allows for self-expression and creativity, and can be a way to process emotions and experiences. Songwriting can also be a great way to connect with others and share your ideas and perspectives through the power of music.

It’s never too late to learn to express yourself through song. In fact, the more life experience you have, the better! Our outstanding Songwriting Faculty Scott Murphy (an accomplished writer and composer of musicals who has worked with Stephen Sondheim) and student Flo Baumoel are sure to inspire you to break out the pencil and paper (or Finale app) and start creating!
