At Groton Hill, visiting guest artists play an active role in encouraging students to challenge themselves and embody their developing skills with confidence. Here’s just a few of the people who’ll join our teaching studios and stages this summer!
Jazz Intensive
Grammy Award–nominated saxophonist, composer, arranger and educator Godwin Louis is a trailblazer in the world of music and beyond. Born in Harlem, New York, and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and Port-au-Prince, Haiti, his music taps all corners of his multicultural background rooted in Haitian heritage.
Summer Jams
Andrew Bonner is the bassist and a founding member of the band Piebald, the emo/indie rock outfit formed in the mid 90s in Andover MA. As part of the band’s original lineup, he helped shape Piebald’s energetic, melodic sound with solid, straightforward bass lines.
Chamber Music Intensive
Rosenbaum has concertized widely as soloist and chamber music performer in the United States, Europe, Asia, Israel, Brazil, and Russia in such prestigious halls as Tully Hall in New York and the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia. Rosenbaum is also a composer and has frequently conducted in the Boston area and beyond.
Broadway Masterclass
Bebe Wood is a Cuban-American actor, musician, and songwriter from Kansas City, MO. Bebe is best known for her roles as Gretchen Wieners in Tina Fey’s Mean Girls, Lake on Hulu’s critically praised Love, Victor, Shania in Ryan Murphy’s The New Normal and Shannon on ABC’s The Real O’Neals.
