Cathy-Ann Alexander, Devens, is an author, educator, inspirational leader, and soldier. She holds a B.A. in Earth Science from Kean University, an M.S. in Education from Cambridge College, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. Cathy-Ann has spent over twenty years as a K-12 educator with the New York City Department of Education and four years in Higher Education as an adjunct professor. In addition to her work as an educator, Cathy-Ann has committed her time to serving this nation for the last 26 years and is a Commissioned Officer with the United States Army Reserve. She is a veteran of the Afghanistan war. Cathy-Ann is passionate about writing. Her interest in writing began as a little girl growing up on the Caribbean Island of Grenada. She is the founder of Wise and Witty Words for Life’s Journey, a company based on original motivational quotes and true-life stories used as inspirational tools to help guide and motivate individuals along life’s journey. Cathy-Ann is the author of three books: Wise and Witty Words for Your Life’s Journey, and the children’s books, The Tale of Buzz-Anna the Traveling Bee, and Mya the Soldier’s Daughter. She currently serves on the Bromfield School Council and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Cathy-Ann’s daughter, Rebecca, is a student at Groton Hill Music School.
